Welcome to the annual meeting of the International Cold Forest Research Laboratory!

The 2025 edition of our scientific gathering will take place on the Innu territory of Pessamit, in Québec.

Each year, this event brings together members of the Laboratory—researchers, students, and partners—with a shared goal: to present ongoing research on cold forest ecosystems, exchange ideas and methods, and build new collaborative pathways.

More than just a scientific meeting, this event is designed as a moment of dialogue and inspiration, grounded in openness and mutual support. It offers everyone the opportunity to showcase their work, deepen their understanding of ecological dynamics in northern environments, and strengthen connections within the Cold Forests network.

Over the course of several days, oral presentations, thematic workshops, and field activities will follow one another in an exceptional setting, rich in natural beauty and Indigenous cultural heritage. Hosted by the Pessamit community, this edition will also offer valuable insights into local knowledge and the deep-rooted relationships between Indigenous peoples and forested lands.

Your participation is essential to the vitality of our network. Together, let’s make this meeting a powerful moment of science, exchange, and commitment to the future of cold forest ecosystems.
